A holiday card crafted by an 8-year-old is helping a pair of Wisconsin organizations that treat and support sick children. It also forged a bond with a Green Bay Packers wide receiver.
The $5 card, created by Maggie Hendrick of Appleton, raised almost $10,000 for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Make-A-Wish Wisconsin through a Gannett Wisconsin Media campaign.

A Waukesha teen is going on her dream vacation thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. And Friday, December 11th a big celebration and surprise got her ready for the trip! The Waukesha North marching band gets the party started. Cheers erupted inside the Macy's at Mayfair Mall as 17-year-old Anna walked in. She's at Macy's for their national "Believe Day," for a shopping spree before her "wish" is granted -- a Caribbean cruise.

"Oh, look buddy!" A huge stuffed giraffe greeted them. Vinyl animals danced on the walls. Fern leaves helped complete the jungle theme of the newly remodeled bedroom for Kolton.
"Unfortunately, he just can't express what he's thinking. So I'm going to do it for him," Kris said. "He is saying, 'You guys are the best. He's thanking you from the bottom of his heart.'"

8-year-old Liam Idzi joined his favorite team, the Philadelphia Flyers, during a morning practice in Vorhees, New Jersey. Make-A-Wish Wisconsin flew Liam and his family to the Flyers Skate Zone to make them all honorary Flyers for the day.

Wixon Inc. and their employees donated over $22,000 to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin today. Through the generosity of employees and the annual golf outing Wixon Inc. has donated more than $145,000 over the past 14 years to support the mission of Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.

14-year-old Jesse Glodowski loves spending time outdoors on the water. And thanks to a generous gift, he'll be able to in his very own boat. For months, Jesse has been battling Osteosarcoma-a type of bone cancer. And while it has been difficult, it's getting a little easier thanks to a 16 foot War Eagle boat from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. They're an organization that grants the "wishes" of children with life-threatening medical conditions with something they can look forward to.
