John Pozniak and Emily Goehring don’t want a gravy boat or matching towels as wedding gifts. Instead, they want to make a child’s wish come true. Pozniak, a former International Falls resident, and his fiance are teaming with the Make-A-Wish Foundation in hopes of fully funding the wish of a child diagnosed with cancer. The wedding is a perfect platform for helping to make their dream a reality, the couple said.

The Green Bay Packers take on the Seattle Seahawks in a battle for the NFC Championship. It’s a matchup a Waukesha County family was hoping to avoid. They’re obviously Packers fans, but they have a pretty good reason to root for the Seahawks too! It turns out, the Seattle Seahawks’ twelfth man is actually from Merton, Wisconsin.

Kaden Stark's eyes scanned the crowd as his dad, Steven, talked to the basketball players sitting on the floor in front of them at Mukwonago High School. A smile flashed across his face.
Actually, Kaden had been smiling all morning as his family talked about going to watch Mukwonago basketball players shoot free-throws at the high school for a Make-A-Wish fundraiser on Dec. 31.

Beckett Roerdink, the 4-year-old from Greenville who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2013 and received worldwide attention in September when he asked for mail for his birthday in a Post-Crescent Media story, is a Wish kid and is scheduled to have his wish — whatever he may choose — granted.

Joseph's wish to have a celebrity-style shopping spree came true on National Believe Day at Macy's. He was treated like a superstar with a red carpet welcome and crowd of fans and paparazzi as he arrived in a big white limo. It was a day he won't forget.

During the second half of the baseball season, Habush Habush & Rottier donated $100 for every extra base hit made by the Milwaukee Brewers. During the final weekend of the season a check for $9,500 was presented to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin to help grant children's wishes.
