RECOGNIZING the effort and energy of our volunteers is the very least we can do for them. Along with the satisfaction of knowing they helped make wishes come true, many of our volunteers are rewarded with the honor of being named as our Volunteer of the Month.

From special events to office and clerical work to wish granting and more, these dedicated friends of the Foundation have gone above and beyond to further the Make-A-Wish^® mission.

Volunteers of the Month

April 2009 - Lex Rofus

For the past two years, Lex
has been an all-purpose
helper at the Foundation
office, tackling every needed
task with a quick wit and an
upbeat attitude. Lex entered
data, loaded supplies,
organized fi les and prepared
bid sheets on his favorite oldfashioned
typewriter. We wish
Lex all the best this fall as he
heads to Brown University!

 

May 2009 - Jerry & Tenley Pipp

Jerry & Tenley became
involved with the Foundation
in 1994 when their son Brandon
received a wish to go to Walt
Disney World^® Resort. They
are enthusiastic volunteers
with the Foundation, granting
wishes for seven children, and
raising money through work
fundraisers and their Walk &
Run team, Brandon’s Bunch.
They are a truly dynamic team!

 

June 2009 - Tammy Weyenberg

Tammy started volunteering
for the Foundation three years
ago because she wanted to
make a difference in a child’s
life. She is extremely reliable and
always makes herself available
to work an event. Tammy has
never turned down working on a
wish, because to her, seeing the
smiles a wish brings to everyone
involved is her biggest reward.
We appreciate her service.
