FATIMA PLUGS IN!

In anticipation of wish day, eight-year-old Fatima and her family cleaned up her room and set up the pretty new desk where she would be able to study, play video games, listen to her favorite music and create professional-looking artwork. Soon, Fatima knew, her wish granters would arrive at her home in Walworth with the brand-new laptop computer she had wished for!

As it turned out, they arrived with more than just her computer!

Fatima was astounded to see the armfuls of goods the wish granters brought for her: beautifully-wrapped presents, a personalized cake – even a giant gift basket! Her awe quickly turned to excitement as the wrapping papers were torn off to reveal her shiny new laptop computer, a pretty pink iPod and more video games than Fatima had ever imagined!

“The Foundation put in an extraordinary effort to make sure Fatima’s wish was unique,” says Fatima’s mother Erica. The wish granters made sure to include all of the art software Fatima had been dreaming about and video games featuring Fatima’s favorite character, Hannah Montana. Her wish party even featured her favorite meal – hamburgers and French fries –along with a super-frosted cake for dessert!

“I LOVE cakes with a lot of frosty!” cheered Fatima.

But the best part of the entire experience was that Fatima was able to celebrate her wish while surrounded by family and friends. “I was really excited to have my party and get my gifts with my family,” she says.

 “It was a special moment for all of us,” says Erica. “We will never forget it.”
