FRANKIE'S STORYBOOK WISH A HAPPY ENDING FOR ENTIRE FAMILY
Six-year-old Frankie is an energetic girl who loves princesses. Frankie's wish began when she and her family left their Delafield home and flew to Orlando to begin their magical adventure at Walt Disney World® Resort. "Frankie's wish was to become a princess, and thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Wisconsin, she did," recounted proud mom Deanna.
While enjoying the sights and rides of Magic Kingdom® Resort, Frankie met Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" and ate breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and his pals in the Crystal Palace. But Frankie's favorite part of her wish came during a storybook lunch with all of the princesses at Epcot®. Frankie was excited to meet her idols, and loved living like a princess for the day.
Her parents loved the feeling of being free to enjoy their time together as a family.
"It felt like we were carrying a load of bricks on our backs as we went through Frankie's illness and treatments," says Deanna. "Every time we connected with the Foundation, it was like another brick was removed. By the time we got to Florida, the bricks were gone and we could enjoy our time together as a family without any worries."
Frankie's wish was made possible through the support of David Margolis - Host Night 2008 and the Wisconsin Underground Contractor's Association, as well as the dedication of wish granters Mike and Carolyn Conley.
