Please join us for Wish Night, Make-A-Wish Wisconsin's signature gala.
Wish Night: A Virtual Gala
Thursday, April 2, 2020
In 1994, Les Weil & Jodi Peck put forth extraordinary effort to create Make-A-Wish® Wisconsin’s first gala in memory of their daughter, Kelly Weil, who had recently passed away after a long battle with bone cancer. Twenty-five years later, the event has grown into Make-A-Wish Wisconsin’s signature fundraiser, raising more than $7.8 million and providing hope, strength and joy to more than 1,500 Wisconsin children.
The health and safety of all Make-A-Wish constituents, including our wish families and partners, is our priority. Due to current medical and public concerns, we have decided to change the format of our April 2 Wish Night to a virtual gala. A lot of work has been put into this event, and we need your support more than ever as we still have a lot of important wishes to grant for children who are battling critical illnesses. Your contributions will be making a big difference in the lives of the children we serve, their families and our community who are also in chaos right now.
We will be hosting Wish Night on April 2, 2020, virtually, using online tools. The event will still offer lots of opportunities to “Rise” to the occasion, including powerful storytelling, the silent auction, wine pull, Kesslers diamond pull and the opportunity for you to collectively help in Adopt-A-Wish. We are working on the details and will update you soon with additional information. In the meantime, our silent auction is ready
, and we have opened the site, so you may begin bidding today at WishNight20.givesmart.com
Our Event Chairs
This year's Wish Night chairs are Dan and Terese Einhorn. Dan and Terese have been involved with Make-A-Wish since their daughter Emma received her wish to go to Disney World in 2011. The family, who has always been involved with various charitable organizations, decided to focus their community volunteer activities around causes relating to childhood cancer after Emma was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of three. This led them to Make-A-Wish, where Terese became a wish grantor, enjoying giving back to this wonderful organization that meant so much to Emma during her recovery. Additionally, Dan and Terese both work with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society as well as Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Emma, who is now a happy and healthy 14 year old, also enjoys giving back to Make-A-Wish.
Join us in making wishes come true
Join us in granting life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses by participating in Wish Night: a Virtual Gala. During the 2019 event guests experienced and helped grant Ashlin's wish to be in a music video that goes viral. The world premiere of Ashlin's wish was first seen by all in attendance and guests were asked to help make her wish go viral on Facebook and YouTube. In the first week of it's release, over 500,000 liked and/or viewed her video. You can watch her video on YouTube now and Ashlin's "Behind the Scenes" video featuring her family and how much her wish meant to them.
When you participate in Make-A-Wish Wisconsin's Wish Night: a Virtual Gala, you are sure to find this event to be inspirational and uplifting.
Wish Night will raise enough funds to help grant more than 100 wishes for Wisconsin children with critical illnesses.
